Colour : Golden amber.
Nose : complex and rich with notes of prune and sultana.
Palate : balanced with flavours of caramel toffee, cinnamon, baked apple, dried fig and walnut.
Terroir : chalky soil. Grande Champagne, 1st cru of the Cognac appellation, near Jarnac.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Ageing : 30 years in French oak barrels.
Food pairing : to serve chilled as an aperitif, with foie gras, blue cheese or dessert.
