Crus : a blend of 15 % Grande Champagne, 50 % Fins Bois and 35 % Borderies.

‘Confluence’ is a feminine word meaning the junction of 2 rivers or two currents of thought. Blending is exactly that, the meeting point between different eaux-de-vie, but also the meeting point between different winemakers' philosophies. A blended Cognac could also be defined by the simple equation 1+1=3, but the result of this blending goes beyond the simple addition of the eaux-de-vie involved. Like 2 rivers that meet to form a river. This is the idea that drives me in the blending exercise, to allow a meeting and create a unique Cognac, which I hope will be much more than the natural sum of the eaux-de-vie blended.

Jean PASQUET

Symphonie des Terroirs is an ode to the union of know-how and land. This series of multi-crus Cognac embodies the soul of our Confluences range, dedicated to the art of blending. It pays tribute to a group of visionary winemakers who, in the 1990s, came together around a common idea : to create a brand that would carry the voice of their terroirs and the richness of their diversity. And so Symphonie des Terroirs du Cognac was born, the fruit of a collective commitment and a passion shared by these men : Alain Gousseland, Francis Motard, Edgard Fourcade, Pierre Julliard, Christian Landreau, Jean-Marie Valley... and Jean-Luc Pasquet, the brand's master blender.

We have chosen to revive this spirit so that each Symphonie des Terroirs blend reflects a harmonious dialogue between crus, a balance between finesse, structure and aromatic expression. An authentic symphony, orchestrated by the talent of the men and women who cultivate their vines with respect and exacting standards.

Our second multi-crus blend, Symphonie des Terroirs N°2, finds its balance and aromatic complexity in three barrels from three terroirs.
