The Rémi Landier House is renowned for the quality of its Pineau des Charentes, whether white or rosé.
Made from Ugni blanc grapes, this Cuvée d’Exception is composed of Pineau from the early 2000s and very old batches going back to 1973.
This blend has given birth to a particularly aromatic Pineau where the Cognac has, over time, melted with the grape must.
The Cuvée d’Exception completes our collection of Extra Old Pineau that we have been bottling since 2011 in limited series.
This fifth bottling (820 bottles worldwide only) is a unique expression of very old Pineau.
It's a rare Pineau, very rich with a lot of aromatic amplitude and pronounced notes of rancio. A true gastronomic product, it will delight all lovers of great spirits and great wines.
Nose : Fruity and very rich orange blossom and candied fruits, with apricot and pineapple at the head. With airing, chestnut and quince paste complete this picture.
Palate : Delicious and very well balanced from acidity to freshness. It develops with great sweetness and empyreumatic aromas. This very old white Pineau evolves like a fruit salad, peach, lychee, passion fruit, almond, nutmeg and chestnut in the mid-palate coated with honey.
Final : Very long, with quince paste, orange zest, pepper, cacao and a very persistent liquorice rancio.
