Tasting notes :
Nose : a sweet woody fragrance, with hints of tobacco and notes of exotic fruits, making it smooth, masculine and chocolatey.
Palate : Structure. Candied mango and sweet cinnamon spices combine with fine, smoky woodiness.
Terroir : chalky soil, near Cognac.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc for the eau-de-vie.
Harvest : 2001.
Ageing : in French oak barrels.
To serve chilled at aperitif, with foie gras, blue cheese or chocolate dessert.
