Tasting notes :
Colour : intense, orange-yellow.
Nose : from the very first sniff, this Cognac seduces with its finesse and balance, while revealing a delicate intensity. The floral aromas of lime blossom blend perfectly with fruity notes of orange and peach compote. When aerated, the bouquet is enriched with more indulgent nuances, with hints of vanilla and apple.
Palate : the attack on the palate surprises with its real freshness, remarkable for a Cognac that has undergone long ageing. The whole is both balanced and indulgent. The orange notes already perceived on the nose are enhanced by a subtle hint of spices.
Finish : it expresses itself elegantly with flavours of nutmeg and liquorice, offering a beautiful length on the palate.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st of the Cognac AOC.
Harvest : 1997.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Distillation on lees.
Ageing : 27 years in French Limousin oak cask in a humid cellar.
